I love making jewelry and, really, just about any other creative or crafty thing I can get my hands on. I have recently started working on making my own lampwork beads with a torch and glass rods. It's really fun and I think it could easily become a very addictive hobby. I also love to sew, but, unfortunately, haven't been able to work on it much lately. I am hoping to be able to do so soon, though, and include some of my fabric creations in my etsy store. I also love to paint, but, I must admit, I am not as good at it as I would like. It's more of a hobby I do because I love it than anything. I really just love to create. Anything that allows me to do that and to express myself is totally up for grabs.
My favorite materials to work with are, without a doubt, beads. I love working with beads because there are just an infinite number of combinations they can be put into to create something completely unique. With beads, you can make so much more than jewelry, but, I have to admit, jewelry is my favorite thing to make. Hey, I'm a girl and what girl doesn't like a little bit of sparkle in her life. I also like working with fabric, metal, and, of course, glass. Creating lampwork beads requires the use of glass rods which are melted in the flame of a torch then carefully wrapped around metal rods. It's very time consuming to get a bead just right, but it's well worth the effort when you see the finished product.
